Margaret Benefiel, Ph.D., is CEO of ExecutiveSoul.com. She also teaches at Andover Newton Theological School in Boston, in the area of spirituality and organizational leadership. For the 2003-2004 academic year, she occupied the O’Donnell Chair of Spirituality at the Milltown Institute in Dublin, Ireland.
She has taught at the School of Business Administration at the University of Tampere in Finland, the Business Administration program at Emmanuel College in Boston, Harvard Divinity School, the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, and Earlham School of Religion.
She speaks widely, leads seminars and retreats, and offers coaching and spiritual direction to executives and organizations. She is a member of the Academy of Management, the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society, the American Academy of Religion, and Spiritual Directors International. She serves as Chair of the Academy of Management’s Management, Spirituality, and Religion Group, and has served on the governing board of the Society for the Study of Christian Spirituality.
She is a member of Beacon Hill Friends Meeting in Boston, and lives in Boston with her husband and her dog. She enjoys hiking, scuba diving, and reading novels in her free time.
