RACHEL GUARALDI, MAR, MAT
Rachel is a practitioner and scholar of contemplative theology, peace-building, interreligious dialogue and spiritual caregiving. She holds a graduate degree in teaching from Towson University and a religious studies graduate degree from the Earlham School of Religion. Rachel is a member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quaker).
Rachel loves traveling and has discovered pilgrimage as a central narrative for her life. She is currently a part-time interfaith staff chaplain at several New England hospitals. Rachel also studied Spiritual Direction through the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation and offers Spiritual Direction to directees in person and over Skype. In addition to full time work in chaplaincy and spiritual direction, Rachel leads pilgrimages to Assisi, Italy and co-leads other short-term programs. Rachel is a member of Beacon Hill Friends Meeting and serves on various Quaker committees locally, nationally and internationally. Rachel lives in Somerville, Massachusetts with her husband Ben, her son Gideon and their cat Miss Marple. In her free time, she studies Spanish, herbalism, and gourmet cooking. Rachel enjoys hosting friends and family for great food and board games. She also loves making videos, taking photos, exploring the outdoors and writing.
